American Business Forum hosted Minister of State & Chairman, Board of Investment Mr. Muhammad Azfar Ahsan for a round table session with members of the ABF.
President American Business Forum Mr. Vaseem Anvar welcomed Mr. Muhammad Azfar Ahsan and shared with him recommendations on areas where BOI’s support is required including challenges faced in expansion of businesses locally as well as globally, repatriation of profits to principals, buying companies overseas, obstacles faced in governmental departmental dealings, etc.
Mr. Muhammad Azfar Ahsan announced that a special desk will be opened at the Board of Investment Headquarters to solve problems faced by ABF companies and also to collaborate for bringing Foreign Direct Investment He further shared that his focus is not only to attract more investments to Pakistan but provide support to already made investments by local and foreign companies.
ABF members thanked the Minister of State & Chairman Board of Investment for taking a special interest in solving the problems of the business community. It was decided that the next round of engagement with the Chairman Board of Investment on the aforementioned areas, will be held in a few weeks at the Board of Investment Headquarters in Islamabad.
