American Business Forum arranged a training on Change Leadership in collaboration with Training Impact Limited on March 8, 2017 at Royal Palm Golf & Country Club Lahore.

Meeting with IMF Country Head (30-1-2017)

American Business Forum arranged a meeting Mr. Tokhir Mirzoev, Resident Representative of IMF on January 30, 2017. The matters related to Taxation Structure & Reforms, Debt Policies, Fiscal / Financial Indicators, Energy, Development, Poverty and Legal Frameworks were discussed in the meeting. ABF delegation consisted of Sohail Yousaf Senior Vice President, Hasan Irfan Khan Vice President, Omar Khayyam Sheikh Honorary Secretary General, Younus Kamran Member Board of Governors, Sikandar Mustafa Khan Member Board of Governors, Farooq Naseem, Assad Ullah Khan and Ahmad Najeeb.

Meeting with MD safe cities authority (25-1-2017)

An initiative was taken by the President ABF Aamir Mirza for the meeting with DIG Malik Ali Aamir, Managing Director, “Punjab Safe Cities Authority” to better understand Punjab Government’s initiative on Safe Cities. The meeting was held on January 25, 2017. The President thanked DIG Ali Aamir Malik for showcasing Punjab Govt’s game changing project aimed at Integrated Emergency Response, Counter Terrorism Surveillance, and Intelligent Traffic Management to the members of “American Business Forum”. After Lahore, the project will be expanded to Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur and Sargodha. The facility in Lahore was an eye opener. It is impressive and state of the art. Technology, equipment, software, hardware and manpower are all world class and signal a new era (once fully implemented) for major cities in Punjab becoming safer and more civilised (In sha Allah) at par with other cosmopolitan cities in developed countries. Some questions were raised by ABF members and were relatively answered by DIG. The members appreciated the work done by Government of Punjab to improve the perception about Pakistan.
A souvenir was presented to DIG Malik Ali Aamir at the end. ABF delegation consisted of President Aamir Mirza, Senior Vice President Sohail Yousaf, Vice President Hasan Irfan Khan, Vice President & Chairman Finance Committee Mahmood Ahmad, Honorary Secretary General Omar khayyam Sheikh, Chairman IPR Committee Rana Ghazanfar Ali, Member Board of Governors Younus Kamran, Member Board of Governors Khalid Malik, Ayesha Hamid Hamid, Masroor Syed, Omar Ali and Assad Assad Ullah Khan.
